A two-sided exchange
Students are there to learn. Your organisation gets work it can use, and gives time and coaching in return. Both sides sign a compact that sets this out.
They give
- Effort, curiosity and fresh eyes
- Working prototypes and analysis
- Honest feedback on the experience
They get
- Real client experience
- A portfolio piece they can show
- Industry connections in Tasmania
- A reason to stay
The compact
What both sides sign up to
- Learning first
- Honest scope
- Work you can explain
You give
- A real problem, honestly scoped
- A champion inside your organisation
- Time: kick-off, mid-point, showcase
- Coaching, not directing
You get
- Something tangible you can show
- Early sight of local talent
- A role in growing the sector
- Recognition as a partner
The University of Tasmania sets the academic frame: selection, assessment and supervision.
